I know it’s January, but what better way to spend your day than dreaming about your next beach-bound vacation? I love being seaside at a lavish resort, embellishing in all things fabulous while I put the world on hold for a moment.

When packing for a resort, my go-to’s are always a mix of both sundresses and maxi dresses. Dresses are a great option for a beach resort vacation because they are versatile, comfortable, and easy to wear. Sundresses in lightweight, breathable fabrics such as cotton or linen are perfect for the beach, as they provide coverage while keeping you cool. Maxi dresses are also a great option as they provide coverage while still being stylish. They can be dressed up or down, perfect for a casual day at the beach or a fancy dinner at the resort. Another popular option is the wrap dress, which can be worn with a belt or without and can be styled with sandals or wedges for a more dressed-up look. Dresses are a great option for a beach vacation, as they can be worn on the beach or at a restaurant. Most are also easy to pack and require minimal ironing. A travel steamer is a great option to pack in case you have fabrics that wrinkle easily in transit.

With that being said, I wanted to share some of my favorite resort dresses. Alice and Olivia is a brand that I love deeply. I know I can always find excellent options for whatever occasion I’m searching for – from vacation looks to gala dresses.

This Alice and Olivia dress is a stunner. The fiery red color contrasts beautifully with a bright blue sea background. I love the halter neckline and the flowy, fitted fabric.

What I’m wearing

I paired the dress with some Charlotte Olympia pumps and a bamboo clutch. I love nude accessories with a pop of color. Bamboo is a great texture to have beach-side – it just screams airy!

I found a few more Alice and Olivia dresses that would be perfect for your next beachside trip.
