I’m a firm believer in the power of prints. A floral print in the midst of holiday decorations and the colder months can always put a bright smile on my face. And by dressing it down with some cozy neutral pieces, it’s just right for winter.

This particular poppy-printed top is a crop top, and I’d pair it with a high waisted leather mini skirt. The detailed pockets on the front add some dimension to the outfit. And the longline robe-esque cardigan hits perfectly to compliment the length of the skirt. I could pair this with tights and boots, but with the right pair of over-the-knee boots you can go tights-less.

To continue the dressed down theme, I’d top off the look with a neutral suede baseball cap. It provides a spot-on balance of flirty and fun without being too overstated. By switching out the cap and sweater for a leather jacket and bright lip, this ensemble is ready for a night out. How do you incorporate prints into your winter wardrobe?
