When skies get gray and cloudy, it’s a fashionista’s job to stand out. A rich berry red is the perfect holiday shade for all complexions and body types. It’s a feel-good color that’s warm, feminine, and can be styled many different ways.

This funnel neck sweater from J. Crew is perfect for petite frames like mine. I’d pair it with leather pants or black skinny jeans, and finish off the look with these tweed sneakers. The chunky laces are playful and dress down the more sophisticated top half of the outfit.

If you’re not a huge pink fan, a deep magenta or burgundy could substitute as an equally-strong presence on the color palette. A berry lip may be a bit too much for this look, so I’d keep the lips a simple shade of nude and play up the face with a sexy liquid-liner cat eye. Whether you favor silver or gold accessories, both work great with this rosy ensemble. (And the color looks great in holiday photos!)
