Indian Summer
Indian summer is a period of unseasonably warm, dry weather that sometimes occurs in autumn….and it’s my favorite time of year! Not too hot, not too cold. Just right! My outfit today is my sartorial expression of what a “just right” sunny day can do for a girl’s wardrobe. My skirt is very modern day gypsy…a … Indian Summer

My outfit today is my sartorial expression of what a “just right” sunny day can do for a girl’s wardrobe. My skirt is very modern day gypsy…a butterfly print, with bold colors reminiscent of a stained glass window. And did I mention that it has pockets? I love a skirt with pockets!
I chose a peach sleeveless tank top from Piperlime which picks up the orange tones in the skirt and I added a skinny red belt and bold red shoes to insert a pop of color…the shoes are the exclamation point of the outfit.
The scenic backdrop for this shoot is the fountain known as “Spit and Spat,” designed in 1902 and is across from the Canfield Casino in Saratoga Springs, NY.
In keeping with the color palette, I accessorized my look with a wrist full of gold lucite bracelets from Alexis Bittar. The EOS (element of surprise) was the Jardin de papillon, which translates roughly to “little butterfly necklace” and is also by Alexis Bittar.
